Yerevan Brewery was founded in 1952 and reorganised as a joint-stock company in 1997. Production improvements and modernisation helped establish it among Armenia's leading businesses. Its Kilikia brand takes its name from the historical Armenian principality and later kingdom that existed from 1080 to 1375.
Product quality, modern management and responsive marketing have helped Yerevan Beer CJSC establish a strong position in Armenia's domestic market.
Since 1999, Yerevan Beer has exported products to Russia, the United States, Greece, the Netherlands, France, Georgia and other countries.
Kilikia beer has received awards at international competitions, including a total of 32 gold medals, three Grand Prix awards and numerous honorary distinctions.
