Budweiser Budvar is a Czech beer in the classic Bohemian pilsner style. It is brewed exclusively in České Budějovice, a city with more than 700 years of brewing traditions. It is known for its rich flavour, gentle hop bitterness and balance of malt and hops.
The beer is made with Czech Žatec, or Saaz, hops, Moravian barley malt and artesian water. Slow fermentation and extended maturation at low temperatures give Budvar its full, rounded taste.
Taste: rich, with a pronounced malty body, gentle caramel sweetness and noble-hop bitterness.
Aroma: fresh and herbal, with hints of bread and flowers.
Colour: golden amber with a dense white head.
Finish: clean, long and refreshing, with a gentle hop accent.
Serve at 6–8°C. Pairs well with meat, fish, cheeses and traditional Czech dishes.
