Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe is one of Germany's best-known breweries, with a history spanning almost four centuries. It was founded in 1634 by Minim, or Paulaner, monks at Munich's Neudeck ob der Au monastery. The brewery initially became known for rich, nourishing beers brewed for Lent.

The Paulaner name comes from Saint Francis of Paola, the order's patron saint. Over time, the monks' beer became popular enough to develop into commercial production and secure a place in the history of Munich and Bavaria.

Paulaner is a leading German brewery, an official participant in Munich's Oktoberfest and a major exporter of German beer. Its products are available in more than 80 countries.

The Paulaner range includes well-known beers such as:

Paulaner Weissbier — a classic unfiltered wheat beer with a fruity, spicy aroma;

Paulaner Salvator — a strong dark bock representing the monastery's historical tradition;

Paulaner Münchner Hell and Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier are classic examples of pale Bavarian lager.

The brewery combines long-standing traditions with modern technology, following the Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516 and using water, malt, hops and yeast.

Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe GmbH & Co. KGaA is part of Paulaner Brewery Group, which includes other well-known German brands. It remains connected to its Munich roots and the motto 'Gut, besser, Paulaner' — 'Good, better, Paulaner'.
